Child prices: ages 0-5 free, ages 6-11 half price
On all our excursions, the rule is simple:
- Ages 0 to 5: free.
- Ages 6 to 11: exactly half the adult price (for example €12.50 for a €25 excursion).
- Ages 12 and over: adult price.
Exception: the hot air balloon in Luxor. The balloon flight does not follow this child policy: no free places and no half price. Minimum age for the balloon flight: 6 years (children under 6 cannot fly). Conditions for children (age and price) are set by the balloon company, so please contact us on WhatsApp before booking with kids. For private boats and speedboats, the price is per boat, whatever the age of the passengers.

With toddlers and little ones (ages 0-5)
The semi-submarine: see the fish without getting wet

The Grand Aquarium and Mini Egypt Park
At the Hurghada Grand Aquarium, you walk through transparent tunnels surrounded by sharks and rays: kids absolutely love it, and it is a great idea on windy days. At Mini Egypt Park, more than 55 models recreate the country’s most famous monuments and temples: a first taste of ancient Egypt, at a child’s height.
For the whole family
A day at Jungle Aqua Park

Orange Bay and the islands
The beach at Orange Bay has calm, shallow water, perfect for paddling with kids. Life jackets are provided and the boat has shaded decks for the little ones’ nap. For an even more comfortable day, Orizea Island offers a pool, private sunshades and an all-you-can-eat buffet. Children who are good swimmers will love Paradise Island, which has more fish.
Dolphins at sea or in a pool
The boat trip to Dolphin House often lets you spot wild dolphins, with snorkeling and lunch on board; it suits children who are comfortable on a boat all day. For a guaranteed encounter, swimming with dolphins in a pool takes place under the supervision of the trainers.
Camel ride and city tour
A gentle camel ride in the desert, with tea at a Bedouin camp, is a lovely first taste of the desert. For a relaxed half day, the Hurghada city tour takes in El Mina Mosque, the Coptic cathedral, the fish market and the marina.
With older kids and teenagers
Luxor in a day: the drive is long (about 4 hours each way), but children who have studied the pharaohs at school will never forget it. Our Luxor minibus trip (8 people maximum) includes Karnak, the Colossi of Memnon, Hatshepsut’s Temple, the Valley of the Kings, entrance fees, lunch and an English- or French-speaking guide. If you want to add the sunrise hot air balloon (€70 per adult), remember that it has its own child policy: ask us before booking.
Quad safaris: note that driving a quad is reserved for older riders (some trips are from age 16). With children, choose the camel ride or the jeep safari instead. For diving, a try dive with an instructor is possible from age 10.
Our tips for Hurghada with the family
- Sun protection: reef-safe sunscreen, a hat, a UV T-shirt for snorkeling and plenty of water. The sun is strong, even in winter.
- One outing a day, no more: alternate an excursion day with a pool day at the hotel.
- On windy days: choose the aquarium, Mini Egypt Park or the aqua park rather than a boat.
- Seasickness: for a first trip, go for the semi-submarine or a nearby island such as Orange Bay.
- Hotel outside Hurghada: supplement of €10 per person from El Gouna, Makadi Bay or Sahl Hasheesh, €15 from Soma Bay or Safaga.
