4-day Nile cruise from Aswan to Luxor
Day 1: embarkation in Aswan
Board the ship in Aswan and have lunch on board. In the afternoon, visit the High Dam and Philae Temple, dedicated to the goddess Isis, on its island in the Nile.
Day 2: Kom Ombo and Edfu
Optional early-morning excursion to Abu Simbel. The ship then sails north: visit Kom Ombo Temple, then the Temple of Horus at Edfu.
Day 3: sailing to Luxor
Relax on deck as the ship passes Esna and reaches Luxor. Visit Karnak and Luxor Temples.
Day 4: Luxor West Bank and disembarkation
Optional sunrise hot air balloon flight. After breakfast, disembark and visit the West Bank: the Valley of the Kings and the Temple of Hatshepsut.

Day 1: embarkation in Luxor
Board the ship in Luxor, have lunch on board, then visit Karnak and Luxor Temples.
Day 2: Luxor West Bank
Optional sunrise hot air balloon flight over the West Bank. Visit the Valley of the Kings and the West Bank, then sail towards Esna.
Day 3: Esna and Edfu
Pass through the Esna lock, one of the surprising moments of the cruise, then visit the Temple of Horus at Edfu.
Day 4: Kom Ombo and Aswan
Visit Kom Ombo Temple on the riverbank, then sail on to Aswan.
Day 5: Aswan and disembarkation

4 or 5 days: which cruise should you choose?
- The 4-day cruise from Aswan to Luxor is ideal if you’re short on time or want to end your trip in Luxor, closer to Hurghada (about 4 hours by road). It’s also the cheaper option.
- The 5-day cruise from Luxor to Aswan gives you more time on the ship, with a full day for Luxor’s West Bank and the Esna lock. It ends in Aswan, the perfect starting point for Abu Simbel.
- Both cruises visit the same great temples: Karnak, Luxor Temple, the Valley of the Kings, Edfu, Kom Ombo and Philae.
Getting from Hurghada to the ship
Staying in Hurghada? Our transfert privé takes you from your hotel to the ship and back at the end of the cruise, in an air-conditioned car with a driver. Price per car, per journey:
- Hurghada ⇄ Louxor: €120 for 2 or 3 people, €180 for 4 to 8 people.
- Hurghada ⇄ Assouan: €160 for 2 or 3 people, €250 for 4 to 8 people.

Our tips
- Book ahead: cabins are limited, especially during school holidays and from November to March.
- A warm layer for the evenings on deck, which are cooler than the days.
- Comfortable shoes for the temples, and light clothes covering shoulders and knees.
- Protection solaire: hat, sunglasses and sunscreen.
- Your passport and some cash for drinks, tips and small extras.
- Best time to go: October to April, when the weather is mild. In summer, visits start early in the morning to avoid the heat.

Les boissons sont-elles incluses ?
No. Full board includes the three meals, but drinks (water, soft drinks and others) are bought on board.
Does the guide speak English or French?
Both. Temple visits are with a guide who speaks your language, English or French. Choose when you book.
Y a-t-il des tarifs pour les enfants ?
Yes. Children aged 0 to 5 travel free, children aged 6 to 11 pay half price (€400 or €425), and from 12 years old the adult price applies.
Peut-on annuler ?
Yes, cancellation is free with a full refund up to 10 days before the cruise. If we cancel because of the weather, you get a full refund or a new date of your choice. No deposit is needed: you pay in cash, in euros, US dollars or Egyptian pounds.
Ai-je besoin d’un visa ?
Most nationalities can get an Egypt visa on arrival or an e-visa online before travelling. Check your country’s requirements.
